With all the information out there, it is sometimes hard to know which is the best approach to take and you can feel like you've tried everything but you're not seeing the improvements you'd like.

 

Contented Canines can help you get focus and engagement from your dog using reward-based, welfare-friendly techniques. I offer customised, 1 to 1 training sessions for tackling particular training issues or for teaching new skills. With my experience in rescue, I also offer specialised sessions for settling and training rescue dogs.

Dog Training Services​

Contented Canines can offer you help with training:

  • Focus and engagement

  • Loose lead walking

  • Recall

  • Not jumping up

  • Basic obedience

  • Settling down and staying calm

  • Advice and training on the use of suitable equipment (harnesses, muzzles, leads)

  • Co-operative care for handling procedures such as veterinary treatments and grooming to make it a nicer experience for both of you

Training Services

Training sessions are available on a 1 to 1 basis for both puppies and dogs. Specialised settling in and training advice is also available for recently adopted rescue dogs.

  • Single sessions also offered for settling in advice or to focus on a specific issue 

  • All sessions are 1-to-1, in-person and last 1 hour 

  • Follow up handouts are provided to support the advice given
